Why did you choose GIST?
The very first day I walk in and inquired inside the school, I felt very much welcomed and didn’t feel discriminated despite my age (I’m 25 and enrolling as a 1st-year student). The people at the front desk at that time were friendly and they helped me overcome the uneasy feeling I have. I told myself this is the right school for me.

Why did you choose the program?
I find the course the most challenging one.

What are the challenges you experienced while studying? (Cite at least 2)
The school location is 23 kilometers far from my house. I have to get up at 4am in the morning to reach the school at 7am.

How did you overcome it? (Explain for each situation mentioned above)
Great perseverance and willingness to pursue what you desire will help you overcome almost everything..

How do you feel about overcoming the challenges?
It’s fulfilling. When a challenge arises, be it a big test in school or an upcoming running race, don’t give up! Persistence is a huge key to overcome challenges. Giving up means that you will neither overcome the challenge nor learn from it. Power through challenges by asking for support and making a plan to work through it.

What is your advice to a student who wishes to take the same program as yours?
Life is full of its ups and downs… One day, you may feel like you have it all figured out. Then, in a moment’s notice, you’ve been thrown a curveball. You’re not alone in these feelings. Everyone has to face their own set of challenges. Learning how to overcome challenges will help you stay centered and remain calm under pressure.

How did the program help you in your current work/employment status?
As you gain your education, you’ll be gaining a deeper understanding of what’s right, wrong, fair, and unfair. Time spent in school helps you master both basic and advanced skills. Writing and classes can also improve your computer skills, which are key in a competitive job market. I also become accustomed to interacting with a wide variety of people

What are the values you have learned in the whole experience?
What you think becomes your reality. Train your mind to think positively. This will take both time and practice… Focus and determination will lead you to success!
