Why did you choose GIST?
I chose GIST colleges because aside from this school is close to where I live, I wanted also a college that was flexible and affordable. I knew exactly what I wanted to achieve and this school help me to develop my skills.

Why did you choose the program?
To get a strong foundation and developed my skills in technical so that I can later pursue my dream, to have my own business in technical repair/services.

What are the challenges you experienced while studying? (Cite at least 2)

1. Stress of making a good adjustment-There is a maze to figure out. I feel confused and bewildered from time to time. A lot of energy goes into trying to make sense of the new environment.
2. Lack of financial to support my studies
3. Lack of confidence- I’m a quite person and confronted with different people from a variety of backgrounds is a big challenges to me It can be overwhelming to start over with new people. It can be hard to make new friends. There will be a feeling of acceptance and rejection.

How did you overcome it? (Explain for each situation mentioned above)

1. Making a good adjustment because I believe my future depends upon my doing well. So trying to motivate myself to overcome stress.
2. My parents cannot support me financially in my studies but luckily I have my sisters who finance my tuition fees.
3. Coping with new ideas, new people, and acceptance of new friends helps me to develop my new identity. I developed socialization and it increase my confidence and self-esteem. Spending time with those company you enjoy can be confidence-boosting.

How do you feel about overcoming the challenges?
It feel great that I overcome all the challenges in my college life.

What is your advice to a student who wishes to take the same program as yours?
I would recommend this program to every student. You will learn and developed your hidden skills.

How did the program help you in your current work/employment status?
It gives me a strong foundation to developed my technical skills and use it in my own business.

What are the values you have learned in the whole experience?
Being open to life lesson can help you more successful in both your career and personal life and provide you with the tools needed to grow as a person.
