Why did you choose GIST?
Among the vocational schools in Pasig City, GIST stands out. The school value relationships with the students which is very important and provides better learning experiences.

Why did you choose the program?
At the time, I just know that the program is in demand and that I could get a variety of decent jobs with the skill sets that the school will equip me with.

What are the challenges you experienced while studying? (Cite at least 2)
Financial Difficulty and taking public transportation

How did you overcome it? (Explain for each situation mentioned above)
For financial difficulty, I just really tried my best to save as much money as I can, I have avoided spending it in unnecessary things which are not school-related.
For the public transportation, I don’t really have other choice since I’m from Cainta. I think me being diligent in my studies that time helped me. I always come to school early so I don’t have to worry about the traffic.

How do you feel about overcoming the challenges?
I feel great, I am thankful to the Lord that I was able to accomplish it. I’m also happy for my parents and for my family that I have graduated.

What is your advice to a student who wishes to take the same program as yours?
To everyone who wishes to take the same program that I took, Always be motivated to study. Do each of the activities with passion and excellence. Always love the process and never stop learning. Most importantly, always include God in everything you do.

How did the program help you in your current work/employment status?
It helped me a lot. I have the confidence that the school imparted to me. As a former computer teacher and now as the Video Editor requires computer literacy and so having the skills that this program provides is a huge help. Typing skills which is also part of this program really helped me big time.

What are the values you have learned in the whole experience?
The school owner, Mr. Montenegro is very particular in prayer and so part of the values that I’ve learned is reverence to the Lord. GIST is more than just a school, it’s a home. Every single day I am excited to come and study. The staff are very friendly. The school will not just give you quality education, it will give you long-lasting memories and so I am thankful and forever be grateful to be part of my beloved Alma Mater.
