Why did you choose GIST?
I chose GIST upon finding out that I would be one of the first few students to ever pioneer in GIST Cogeo Branch. I also admired the teachers who helped me out during the process of enrollment and assured me that with GIST a better brighter future awaits. And so it happened. I studied at GIST Cogeo and started with 25% off of my tuition fee. Then, I became one of the student leaders. My Tuition fee discount was raised up to 85% and that was the biggest help I ever received from the school and one of the many reasons why I was able to graduate with honors. Thanks to the people who trusted me

Why did you choose the program?
I chose the program because the approach is pretty straightforward, not too complicated and affordable.

What are the challenges you experienced while studying? (Cite at least 2)
The challenges are maintaining good grades to keep the scholarship while being an effective leader in our student body organization at the same time.

How did you overcome it? (Explain for each situation mentioned above)
I got a lot of help, especially from my teachers and classmates, and of course my parents. Though they don’t have enough money, they still managed and made sure that I will be able to graduate, with or without honors. What really helped me during that time is the love and genuine care that I got from the people sounding me. From the teachers and my classmates down to the utility personnel. Not to mention Mr. Montenegro’s generosity of letting me study at the school that he built and has now produced some of the best contributors in this country.

How do you feel about overcoming the challenges?
Pretty Good. Feels awesome!

What is your advice to a student who wishes to take the same program as yours?
Be open to changes. Be aware of the opportunities to come. Be mentally strong to create your own opportunity when the free ones pass by and be thankful to whatever it is that you have to be thankful for.

How did the program help you in your current work/employment status?
It made me technologically inclined and became one of the best that GIST ever produced.

What are the values you have learned in the whole experience?
Starting from nothing is the true beginning of something. So don’t waste time on whining. People will help if you deserve them and once you have them don’t waste them instead, be thankful to them!
