GIST Glows in Felicity and Inclusivity at the Cogeo, Antipolo Campus Acquaintance Party

The Marikina Hotel and Convention Center was ablaze with glamour on January 9, 2024, as the GIST Cogeo, Antipolo campus hosted its much-awaited Acquaintance Party. Attended by Senior High School and Tech-Voc students, along with dedicated teachers and staff, the event radiated the theme of “Celebrating the Felicity and Inclusivity with Oneness of GIST Family.”
The dazzling affair’s registration commenced at 11:00 AM, with attendees bedecked in outfits that captured the motif of Glamour, Shining, Shimmering, and Splendid. The program kicked off at 1:00 PM, weaving an enchanting tapestry of entertainment and camaraderie that lasted until 6:00 PM.
Ms. Leticia Bañes, the well-regarded Branch Head, extended a warm welcome to the gathering, setting the stage for an inspirational message delivered by none other than the President and School Director, Mr. Jose O. Montenegro.
The stage came alive with vibrant performances from GIST’s talented Glee members, Dance Movers, and a memorable collaboration song number featuring the School Director himself, Mr. Jose Montenegro along with Ms. Bañes, and Mr. Leonardo Lorenzo. Faculty members showcased their moves, and BN2 teachers provided a captivating song, while Lyron Dela Torre of ICT 12-4 serenaded the audience.
The highlight of the party was the pageantry. Glamorous Walk, with Mr. Prince Montenegro of HE 11-3 and Ma. Theresa Barrientos claiming the titles of Male and Female winners, respectively.
The Iconic Fashion Walk witnessed Raymundo Iñigo of ICT 12-4 and Dishelhee Hayagan of ABM 12-5 taking the spotlight as the Male and Female winners.
Pamesa Alqueco from ICT 12-4 and Wella Tipones from ABM 12-4 were crowned King and Queen of the Night, adorned with sashes and tokens in recognition of their regal presence.
Following the stunning showcases of the Glamorous Walk, Iconic Fashion Walk, and King and Queen of the Night Walk, attendees were treated to snacks and amused by the Talentadong GISTians competition. Excitement reached its peak during the thrilling raffle draw, where students had the chance to win enticing prizes, including cash, tokens, rice cooker, and a single burner.
The faculty and staff then took the stage for a lively presentation right after the awarding of the winners. Ms. Ann Coper, Asst. Branch Head, delivered heartfelt closing remarks, marking the end of the formal program. With the conclusion of her remarks, the dance floor was opened to all, allowing everyone to celebrate and cap off the night in style.
The event was graced by a distinguished panel of judges, including Mr. Jose Montenegro, GIST President and School Director; Ms. Leticia Bañes, Branch Head; Ms. Ann Coper, Asst. Branch Head; Ms. Kathrina Montenegro, Marketing Head; and Ms. Karen Noora-Naputo, Academic Coordinator. Their discerning eyes raised the level of significance to an already unforgettable day of catwalk, making the GIST Cogeo, Antipolo’s Acquaintance Party a reverberating hit.
Expertly hosted the event on a broad daylight were Mr. Carwin Flores, Ms. Karen Albia, Mr. Randell Villamor, and Ms. Janiel Nicole Madamba, adding an extra boost of energy and charisma to the party ambiance. The GIST Cogeo, Antipolo Campus truly shone in felicity and inclusivity, creating lasting memories for the entire GIST family.
