GIST Fairview Acquaintance Party 2023: A Night To Rememberr at Great Eastern Hotel

Gateways Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) Fairview Branch held its highly anticipated acquaintance party on October 7, 2023, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The event took place at the elegant Great Eastern Hotel, setting the stage for an unforgettable day of fun, entertainment, and camaraderie.

One of the highlights of the evening was a thrilling dance contest that showcased the incredible talent and creativity of the students. The dance floor was filled with energy as the students and guests cheered on their favorites, making the night all the more electrifying. Winners of the dance contest, featuring participants from different sections, included the champion team from ABM 11 & 12-A, with HUMSS 11 securing the 1st place and Grade 12 taking the 2nd place. Faculty members added an extra layer of excitement through their energetic and captivating dance presentation, showcasing their enthusiasm for joining in the festivities with students.

Apart from the dance contest, the event also marked a significant moment for the student organizations at GIST Fairview. The oath-taking ceremony for the new officers of various clubs was a solemn and inspiring occasion. Among these clubs are QUEST (Qualified and Elite Students of Today), School Journalism, GIST Sports Club, GIST Movers, and GIST Glee Club which will represent a commitment to leadership, service, and unity within the school community. The new officers pledged to uphold the values and principles of their respective organizations, promising to work tirelessly to improve the school experience for their fellow students.

Of course, no acquaintance party would be complete without the crowning of the “King and Queen of the Night.” This year’s awardees were selected not only for their charm and elegance but also for their involvement in various school activities and their embodiment of GIST Fairview’s values. The King and Queen of the Night walked away with not only the titles but also the admiration and applause of their peers. The titles of King and Queen of the Night were awarded to Dustin Bulan as King and Justine Sambayan as Queen, while in the faculty category, the esteemed Ms. Cherry Rabancho emerged as the winner.

The party was beautifully decorated with a theme: Disco Fever 2023 that reflected the school’s spirit and values, creating an atmosphere of warmth and togetherness. Throughout the night, the attendees enjoyed a sumptuous feast, great music, and the chance to connect with old friends and make new ones. Laughter and conversations filled the air as everyone celebrated the beginning of another exciting academic year at GIST Fairview.
The GIST Fairview acquaintance party was a resounding success, creating lasting memories for all who attended. It was a night of talent, dedication, and celebration, emphasizing the sense of community and unity that GIST Fairview prides itself on. As the students, faculty members and guests left the Great Eastern Hotel that night, they carried with them not only the memories of a fantastic event but also a renewed spirit of togetherness and purpose to make the coming year even more remarkable.
