GIST Once Again Gunning For Gold in TESDA Skills Competition
Every year, TESDA holds its renowned Skills Competition to showcase the admirable talents and fine-tuned skills of tech-voc trainees from around the nation. This 2021, in the first Virtual Skills Competition in the country, GIST intends to once again prove our reputation and defend our title as one of the country’s top performing tech-voc schools as we compete to represent the PAMAMARISAN District in the areas of Cookery and Restaurant Service.
Since 2010, GIST has been consistently and proudly representing the National Capital Region (through the PAMAMARISAN and Quezon City District) and Region 4-A as we send our coaches and our students to compete at the National Level against competitors from different regions in the Philippines. The skills our coaches have honed within our school, founded on TESDA’s Basic, Common, and Core Competencies, and whose legacy has been passed down to each GIST competitor every year, have all proven to be a formidable and irreplaceable secret weapon to our decade-long winning streak.
For this year, we are proud to once again present our GIST delegates to represent PAMAMARISAN:
Cookery
Competitor 1: ALEX ANTHONY L. TREMOTCHA
Expert: GERALYN P. ASID
Competitor 2: MA. MICAH TRISHA EROA
Expert: JOHN RUDOLF C. TOLENTINO
Restaurant Service

Expert: MARY ANN COPER
Competitor 2: RONNIEMARK TOLENTINAS

Here is a sneak peek of the intensive training our hardworking students and their dedicated coaches are undergoing to prepare for this one-of-a-kind competition, as it’s the first to be held virtually. GIST has taken all necessary health precautions and complied to all government-mandated regulations to ensure that the training will proceed safely and healthily for all our participants.
The first Virtual Skills Competition by TESDA will be held online as a three-day event, from October 14-16. GIST will be competing from its PAMAMARISAN home court, GIST Kalentong in Mandaluyong City, to be livestreamed online nationally by TESDA.
Stay tuned to see if GIST will once again win the coveted gold medal!
