Why did you choose the program?
I chose Computer Science out of curiosity as computer related courses were in demand back then.

What are the challenges you experienced while studying? (Cite at least 2)
1. School location – I live in Marikina and travelling to Pasig branch took me almost 2hrs travel time.
2. Finding the right balance as a student and as a legal guardian to my 2 younger brothers whilst my mother was working as an OFW.

How did you overcome it? (Explain for each situation mentioned above)
1. Knowing the fact that I live in a different city, I see to it that I wake up early to avoid rush hour and being late in any of my subjects.
2. Time management is a huge factor in finding the right balance of being a student and being a legal guardian.

How do you feel about overcoming the challenges?
It was life-changing. Little did I know back then that these challenges will help me become more prepared to what life has to offer after graduation.

What is your advice to a student who wishes to take the same program as yours?
Find your main driver and use it as a motivation to pull through. Whether it is your desire to be the best, to land a job and to provide for your family after graduation. Life, in general, is survival so it is always important to set your goals. Never slack off but also do not forget to find happiness in what you do.

How did the program help you in your current work/employment status?
I went slightly off course with what I have finished in school. But one thing I learned from this institution is to build my network and socialize. My experiences helped me build my confidence and to connect with different people.

What are the values you have learned in the whole experience?
Perseverance and Resilience. Pull through despite any difficulty in achieving success and have the positive outlook that you can always recover and bounce back with anything that life throws at you.
