Embracing Authenticity: GIST Pampanga’s Unforgettabe Acquintance Party at Heroes Hall

In the bustling heart of Pampanga, the Gateways Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) Pampanga Branch came alive with excitement and anticipation as students, faculty and staff gathered for the most awaited event of the academic year – the Acquaintance Party. Held at the iconic Heroes Hall, this event is a vibrant kaleidoscope of diversity with a theme “Embrace the Real You,” encouraging to embrace one’s authentic self and create lasting memories.

One of the most exciting aspects of any acquaintance party is the dress code. For this event, students were encouraged to express themselves through their clothing. As a result, the venue, which provided an atmosphere of grandeur and charm, was a magnificent display of diverse fashion statements. Mr. Jericho D. Pilo of ABM 12 being crowned as King of the Night and Ms. Aaliyah G. Trinidad of HUMSS 12 as Queen of the Night electrified the event, infusing it with an unparalleled vibrancy and a sense of regal charm.

The party featured a variety of activities designed to set the ball rolling and encourage interaction among the students. The class presentation competition, a centerpiece of the event, showcased exceptional talent and creativity, with HUMSS 12 class stole the spotlight, securing the 1st place, while HE 12-B and HUMSS 11-C claimed their well deserved positions as 2nd and 3rd placers, respectively, adding a competitive edge to the event’s festivities. The raffle, with its thrilling prizes and the chance to win, had everyone on the edge of their seats, adding an extra layer of excitement. Also, a shout out message resounded through the hall, igniting a collective sense of anticipation and celebration that would linger long after the event.

Ms. Maria Ina T. Reyes, RMT, the esteemed head of Microbiology Section at Primus Diagnostics, Inc., is not only a dedicated professional but also a passionate advocate for fostering talent and recognizing excellence who plays a pivotal role as one of the judges along with GIST Pampanga Branch Head, Ms. Ria A. Sebastian and GIST Choir Master Mr. Eric Bagamasbad. The joy that envelops these events is not complete without the well-wishing presence of City of San Fernando, Pampanga Councilor Aurelio Brenz Gonzales who brings a sense of goodluck and community spirit when he drops by, infusing the atmosphere with enthusiasm.

The high spot of the event was the solemn oath-taking ceremony, a symbol of commitment and responsibility, which members of GIST Pampanga’s active organizations eagerly embraced. QUEST Club, serving as the highest governing body, pledged to lead with integrity and passion, promising to be the guiding force for student initiatives on campus. GIST Movers, the dynamic dance enthusiasts, took their oath to mesmerize and inspire through the art of movement. The GIST Glee Club, who opened the event with their harmonious voices singing the National Anthem, solidified their commitment to spreading the joy of music. It was a collective declaration of dedication and unity, setting the tone for a year filled with creativity, leadership and inspiration.

No party is complete without delicious food and pulsating dance floor, and the organizers didn’t disappoint. A buffet of different cuisines was served, ensuring that every plate was satisfied. Attendees enjoyed also the pulsating dance floor that throbbed with energy as the music filled the room.

GIST Pampanga’s Acquaintance Party at Heroes Hall was more than just an event; it was a celebration of individuality and unity. With the theme “Embrace the Real You” as its guiding star, the party brought students together in a vibrant, colorful, and inclusive celebration of diversity. In a world where authenticity is often challenged, this event served as a powerful reminder that embracing one’s true self is a cause for celebration, not hesitation.
